Here's the bottom line
The location is perfect for exploring, just a short stroll away from the city center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is picturesque with a fine view, although seating can be limited. Don't miss the lively bar, a great spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing!

The Hotel is very central - easy walking distance almost everywhere. It was very good value for money and has a pleasant roof-top pool. The food at breakfast was fine and the staff very helpful.
The rooms are small and there is no air conditioning. Also the area isn't quite as pleasant at night. However, there's an effective fan in the room and you have to see these downsides in context of price - ie if you want more, pay more. The one thing that could easily be improved is the coffee at breakfast - it was really bad.

The rooftop viewing terrace was a real highlight, offering some lovely views of the surroundings. Plus, the central location made it easy to catch public transport and explore the area without any hassle.
The noise disturbances from outside traffic could be quite bothersome, especially in some rooms that faced the road. The beds were on the uncomfortable side, feeling more like wooden boards than anything usable, and the shower was cramped-definitely a challenge for taller folks. Breakfast options were fairly limited, with lukewarm food and little variety. I found the same croissant and ham served daily. The limited space during breakfast could make for a hectic start to the day, and there were issues like charging for safe usage, which I found excessive.

The swimming pool located on the roof of the hotel; with the views and peace that makes you relax' really nice sitting by the pool reading a book!.
well proberly the fact that me and my partner are both in our middle 30s and we felt a bit out of place as everyone else was a lot older. but that is not the hotels fault.

The rooftop pool offered a lovely view, and the breakfast had some enjoyable options like bacon and scrambled eggs. The room felt quite outdated, with uncomfortable beds that impacted my sleep quality, and the dining options could be improved further. A nice place for a short city break, but aiming for a more comfortable stay would be advisable.

the hotel is situated in the centre of Funchal. very close to buses, taxis, the excellent shops. easy to access from the airport. the staff were friendly and helpful. our room was comfortable with 2 arm chairs and a fridge. breakfast was fresh and well presented. the pool area was well tended and a very pleasant place to sit away from the bustle of the city and traffic noise .
just a very small thing. there was no hanger for your clothes in the bathroom.

The hotel is placed at the center of Funchal, with very good location. The staff was helpful. The room was very well cleaned.
This an old hotel, that hasn't enough quality to be a 4 star. The facilities are a little old and the breakfast poor.
